Relationship Therapy for Individuals

You can work on your relationships, even on your own.

We're here to help!

Do you:

  • Keep noticing the same patterns showing up in your relationships, romantic, family, or friendships?

  • Struggle to set boundaries without feeling guilty?

  • Stay in relationships that leave you feeling unseen or unappreciated?

  • Want to work on your relationship but your partner isn't ready or willing to join therapy?

  • Feel like you give more than you receive in most of your relationships?

  • Wonder why trust or vulnerability feels so hard for you?

  • Want healthier relationships but aren't sure how to actually start making changes?

If you answered yes to any or all of these, you are not alone! We can help!

You do not need a partner in the room to do meaningful relationship work. In fact, so much of what shapes our relationships starts with patterns we carry on our own.

The way we love, argue, trust, and set boundaries is often shaped by our earliest relationships and experiences.

Working on your relationships through individual therapy is an effective way to actually change your patterns for good.

We offer relationship therapy for individuals - helping you to understand your relational patterns, build healthier boundaries, and create the kind of connections you actually want.

What happens in sessions?

How does relationship therapy for individuals work?

We help you understand yourself, your relationships, your relational needs and patterns, so you can build the relationships you want.

Step 1: We explore your relationship history.

We talk through your significant relationships in your past and present, and start noticing themes that repeat no matter who you are with.

This is not about blame. It is about understanding where these patterns started so they stop feeling like your fault or your destiny.

Step 2: We connect your patterns to your attachment needs.

We look at how you learned to seek closeness, handle conflict, protect yourself and your emotions, and how that shows up in your relationships today.

Once these patterns are named and organized clearly, you are able to make choices for how you want to respond rather than just react.

Step 3: We build new relational skills you can actively apply in your life.

Together we work on understanding and communicating your needs - to yourself and others in your life.

You learn how to show up in the present moment and track what happens in your body and mind, so you can catch and alter your old patterns, and take care of your needs more effectively.

You will leave sessions with real tools you can apply immediately and in the different relationships in your life.

Step 4: You show up differently in your relationships.

You start noticing old patterns before they take over, and are able to choose a different response.

This does not mean the old patterns disappear overnight, but each time you catch one and respond differently, the pattern gets a little weaker and your confidence gets a little stronger.

Clients often tell us that their relationships - romantic, family, and friendships - all start to feel healthier once they do this work.
